Awesome Shark T-shirt!
The other day I was at my boring ole retail job when something happened to make me feel like both rolling on the floor laughing and kicking myself. I was running around at the front of the store working on straightening things up and this lady walks in and goes for a cart. When she walked in I didn't catch a great look at her. It might of been because I don't care to stare at strangers, or that I was busy working. I did however see something that resembled an open sharks mouth on her back. I happen to think sharks are pretty sweet.

Now, the first thing I think in my head was "whoa that looks like a bitchin' shark t-shirt." So I turn to give her a better look, with the words "awesome shark t-shirt!" ready to fire out at her as a compliment. Thats when it hits me. She's in a back-brace either from injury or disease. I almost told a lady with an effed up back "nice shirt".

Something in me still thinks that's pretty funny, after realizing what a jerk I was.

Aquarium! Om nom nom.
So Rebecca and I went to Tampa the other weekend. We started the day by getting lost around USF, but we eventually found our way to this plaza that seems to be monopolized by Indian specialty shops. I saw Rebecca get her eyebrows threaded, which was pretty fascinating. Then we went over to an Ethnic food store, and Becca got us some Mango juice and a Samosa. I had never had either before, but I can tell you that I'll be having them agian.

After we found our way back to where we needed to be, we zipped down to the aquarium. It was probably the first time I've been to a real aquarium, so I was pretty impressed. There was a ton of different marine life there. I almost got eaten by stingrays, Becca bonded with otters, we saw lobsters sword fight, there were some fish cuddling, amongst tons of other stuff. The tanks they had were ginormous, and they even had a sea turtle!

The only thing I wish they offered that we did not see was a dolphin tank. It seems like that would be something for a large aquarium to have. The do apparently offer "Eco-tours" where you go out on a boat in the bay and see dolphins, but that costs extra and ties your day up for a little longer than an aquarium maybe should.

So after grabbing some rock candy at the gift shop, I convinced Rebecca to go check out Ybor with me. For those of you who've never been there, Ybor (pronounced e-boar) is a happening place, where there are a few clubs, bunches of bars, resturants and shops all within a block or so of the main street.

When I had first graduated high school I went to work for my friend Kenny, and we went through Ybor 4-5 days a week to get to work. Being from new york and missing planned cities and main streets with everything right next to eachother, I was fascinated with all the cool shops and interesting places I saw every day. We never stopped to check them out though, because we were a workin'.

Little to say, it was great being able to explore Ybor with my girlfriend for the first time, after having wanted to for so long. There were a ton of bars, lots of cigar/liquor stores, clubs like every 2 blocks, a movie theatre, gameworks, and more places to eat than you can shake a stick at. After we got done checkingout a few places we found ourselves at the Blue Samurai sushi bar for their dinner service. I guess all of those fish made us hungry for some.

Since neither of us had ever been to a formal sushi resturant, we ended up ordering way more food than we probably should have. It was pretty cool though, because we got to taste a bunch of different and interesting things. I was espically fond of their "Samurai roll" which was somehow ever-so-slighly fried. I felt kind of bad, because I happen to be allergic to shellfish (lobster, crab, and shrimp) because of their iodine content. As far as I've been informed, this has something to do with giving them their color. due to this, we I'm sure we didn't order some of the stuff we could have, which I'm sure would have been delicious.

After we dipped out of the sushi place we grabbed us some ice cream and started our way back home. It was a great fun-filled day.

Good times.
So tomorrow I plan on taking my girlfriend out escapading about and hopefully we'll have a blast. I'm sure you'll hear about it Mindsay.

In other news, I attempted to bond with my hamster Leland again today for the billionth time, only for him to flee like a Jewish man before a Panzer division. When will he learn that all I want is to chill with him? Silly thing.

I've just finished the book "Pygmy" by Chuck Palahniuk. At first it's a hard read due to the constant broken english and communist references. It was definitely a great read overall though. If this book goes to the movies I predict the audience will look like a reaction video from a horribe internet shock site for quite a bit of the film.

Tags: bad drivers
Mindsay, it really bothers me when people drive down residential or extremely rural(back) roads and keep their car in the middle of the road. On the few chances I've had to ask the drivers why they would do such a crazy thing they've always replied with nothing other than they feel it's "safer". This seems odd because to me it's absolutely terrifying.

Oh Lawdy
So mindsay, Today I was an entire hour late for work. The worst part was that it was entirely my fault. I was supposed to be there at 3:30 in the afternoon, and I was asleep till 3:58. I suppose I could blame it on being up late, but that'd just be weak on me. My boss was not happy with me ovbiously. Has this ever happened to you Mindsay?
